Urodynamics
Robert Sterling Hollabaugh, Jr. M.D., FACS
Your doctor has ordered a urodynamics test to measure your bladder’s ability to store and empty urine. During the test, quite a bit of information will be collected, and the interpretation of the study will assist your doctor in deciding how they wish to treat your problem.
Urodynamics is the urologist’s best way to determine the function of your bladder. Other tests, such as cystoscopy or CT scan, can be used to assess the anatomy of the bladder. Both function and anatomy are important in determining the cause of various bladder problems.
