Dr. John Adams is a native of Memphis. He completed his undergraduate education at Southwestern at Memphis (now Rhodes College), where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He earned his medical degree from the University Of Tennessee College of Medicine. He served his internship and residencies in surgery and urology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, where he was Chief Resident in Urology from 1989-90.

Dr. Adams has been in private practice in Memphis since 1990. He is a former clinical instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee and has published and presented dozens of research articles on subjects of urological importance.

Dr. Adams is active in many hospital committees and professional organizations. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
