Dr. Benjamin Maddux is a native of Memphis. He earned his B.S. at Southwestern University at Memphis (now Rhodes College), and completed medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He subsequently pursued an internship and year of general surgery training at Methodist Hospital of Memphis. He completed his training in urology at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.

Dr. Maddux has been in private practice in Memphis since 1983. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
